Overview
This policy covers BeaconBrand's website at beaconbrand.com. It explains what information we collect when you visit, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have — including rights specific to California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). Effective November 2, 2026.
Information we collect
We collect two kinds of information:
- Information you provide. If you book a conversation through our Contact page, Calendly collects your name, email and the details you enter to schedule. Calendly is a separate service with its own privacy practices; see their privacy policy.
- Information collected automatically. When you browse this site, we and our analytics/advertising providers automatically collect usage data: pages viewed, which case studies or services you looked at, how you navigate the site, your device and browser type, and general location derived from your IP address.
Cookies and tracking technologies
We use the following tools, all of which load by default unless you opt out (see "Your choices" below):
- Meta Pixel (Meta/Facebook) records which pages, case studies and services you view, and helps us understand which ones most often lead to someone getting in touch. This also lets us show ads to people with similar interests on Meta's platforms, and build retargeting audiences from site visitors. See Meta's privacy policy.
- Google Analytics records how you found this site (for example search, a referring site, or a direct visit), what you viewed, and your general engagement with the site, so we can understand which channels and content actually lead to a conversation. See Google's privacy policy.
- Microsoft Clarity records anonymized session behavior — scrolling, clicks, general navigation paths — so we can see which pages and paths actually work for visitors. See Microsoft's privacy statement.
How we use this information
We use it to understand how people find and use this site, see which content leads to a conversation with us, improve the site itself, and run advertising that reaches people likely to be a good fit for our services. We do not sell your personal information for money.
How we share this information
Automatically collected data is shared with Meta (via the Pixel), Google (via Google Analytics) and Microsoft (via Clarity) as described above. Scheduling information is shared with Calendly to operate the booking itself. We do not otherwise sell or share your personal information with third parties, except as required by law.
Under CPRA, sharing data with an advertising partner like Meta for interest-based advertising counts as "sharing," even though no money changes hands. That's why this policy and the opt-out below treat it the same as a sale.
Your choices
Analytics and advertising tracking on this site is on by default. You can turn it off at any time:
- Click (also in the footer of every page) to decline Meta Pixel and Microsoft Clarity going forward.
- If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we honor it automatically — both tools stay off, with nothing for you to click. GPC is a setting some browsers and extensions (for example Brave, or DuckDuckGo's browser) let you turn on once, which then tells every site you visit not to sell or share your data.
Declining does not affect Calendly's own data collection when you book a time with us — that's between you and Calendly, governed by their privacy policy linked above.
Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the right to:
- Know what personal information we've collected about you and why.
- Delete personal information we've collected, subject to certain exceptions.
- Correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information — see "Your choices" above.
- Non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights; we will not charge you differently or deny you service for doing so.
To exercise any of these rights, email luke@beaconbrand.com with your request. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframe required by law.
Data retention
We retain automatically collected analytics and advertising data for as long as our Meta and Microsoft Clarity accounts retain it under their own retention policies, or until you successfully request deletion.
Children's privacy
This site is intended for business owners and professionals. It is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our tools or practices change. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
